Finance the construction of battery storage facilities in the Sarthe.
Qair offers an investment opportunity in the financing of a BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) site in the commune of Juigné-sur-Sarthe. By investing, you will directly contribute to the construction of this new facility, which will support the energy transition: with a power output of 58 MW, the storage site will have a capacity of 116 MWh.
OBJECTIVE
The crowdfunding campaign for the Juigné-sur-Sarthe Storage project aims to raise €5,000,000 at an annual interest rate of 6% over 18 months.
USE OF FUNDS
These funds will be used by the project developer to finance the final development stages before construction.
The project is currently at the RTB (Ready-to-Build) stage: lease agreements with farmers have been signed, grid connection has been validated with the network operator Enedis, and the building permit was issued in late 2025. The final development steps include securing feed-in tariffs, negotiating senior financing, and selecting partners (suppliers, aggregators, etc.).
REPAYMENT
The repayment of the bonds will be secured by the cash flow of QAIR International, supported by various cash pooling agreements: as illustrated below, this mechanism centralizes the group’s cash flow at the parent company level, thereby ensuring the financial health of the group.
SECURITY
As collateral, Total Energies Invest has secured a pledge of 100% of the shares of the issuer company holding the project rights, as well as a GAPD (Autonomous First-Demand Guarantee) from QAIR France for an amount equal to the principal and interest due from the fundraising.

The project
A site for energy storage will soon be installed in the commune of Juigné-sur-Sarthe
The Juigné-sur-Sarthe project consists of the installation of a battery storage park with a capacity of 58 MW in the Sarthe region. With a construction permit that is final and all necessary authorizations secured, the project will soon be built once the purchase tariff is secured and suppliers and partners are selected by the sponsor Qair.
Located 300 meters from an Enedis connection point, it is expected to become operational in spring 2028 .
BESS storage, a strategic market
With the increasing share of renewable energies (solar and wind) and the reduction of traditional controllable means (especially thermal), the French electricity grid is currently undergoing significant transformation : it must store excess energy to redistribute it during peak demand and provide grid support services, as well as shift renewable energy production hours to better integrate them and smooth out the daily electricity price curve.
In this context, battery storage (BESS) is particularly well-suited, offering immediate (milliseconds) and bidirectional (charge/discharge) flexibility. The public grid operator RTE (Réseau de Transport d’Électricité) has indicated a strong willingness to invest heavily in this type of solution . The growth of renewable energies and the rising need for flexibility make battery storage structurally essential.
A battery park operates on two key principles: absorbing excess energy produced by the grid and injecting stored energy to compensate for any shortfall .
A rapidly expanding group
QAIR International is the parent company of the QAIR Group, which was founded in 2017 . With nearly 780 employees, the group currently has around 1.7 GW of projects under construction and in operation , as well as a large number of projects in development.
The group’s strategy focuses on wind and photovoltaic energy. At the same time, it is also working on energy storage projects with a significant development portfolio and innovative solutions related to renewable energies (hydrogen, tidal power, offshore wind, etc.).
By 2027, the company aims to reach an operational capacity of nearly 2.5 GW , which will more than double by 2030 to exceed 5.5 GW.
For Qair International, entering the storage market represents a real opportunity for diversification while meeting the energy needs of the territory.
The financing of the Juigné-sur-Sarthe project will add to the ambitious projects already financed by Qair through Total Energies Invest: since the start of our collaboration, more than 50 million euros have been raised by Total Energies Invest from investors and repaid by Qair .

Project owners
Qair International is an Independent Power Producer that currently has nearly 1.7 GW of projects under construction and in operation, as well as a large number of projects in development.
The group’s strategy focuses on wind and photovoltaic energy. At the same time, the group is also working on energy storage projects with a significant development portfolio and innovative solutions related to renewable energies (hydrogen, tidal power, offshore wind, etc.).
With an international presence in Europe, South America, and Africa, Qair employs nearly 780 people today, including 100 at Qair France.
For more than 30 years, the company has relied on the historical expertise of its experts and the vision of its reference shareholder, Jean-Marc Bouchet.
The Founder’s Words, Jean-Marc Bouchet
The name Qair, common to all our onshore and offshore wind, solar, hydroelectric, eco-combustion, and green hydrogen activities, expresses the unity of our group across the 21 countries where we develop projects. Qair recalls our roots (“Qa”), brings together our international presence (“i”), and affirms our commitment to renewables (“r”). It reflects what we have been since the group was founded over 30 years ago. The name also reflects the incredible era we live in, full of promise and challenges, so that our growth is sustainable, our progress lasting, and our development does not come at the expense of future generations. Since its inception, the group has recognized the environmental challenges and has fully committed to actively participating in the ongoing ecological transition and accelerating, to the best of its ability, the environmental revolution I hold so dear.
“It is our duty to future generations to maintain our course as an actor committed to the environmental revolution!”
The Group’s Values
Our analysis
Risk overview
Construction risks
Risk related to errors or defects during assembly that may affect the final quality of the product
Mitigation methods
Given the nature of its business, QAIR benefits from a network of key partners, which should enable it to secure favorable rates for the construction of its power plants. The group’s expertise should enable it to surround itself with trusted partners for the construction of these projects, limiting assembly risks and ensuring some cost control through competitive bidding among various suppliers. However, Total Energies Invest should have little or no exposure to construction risk, as the construction of the battery farm is expected to take place at the end of the financing period and would be funded by the senior debt.
Refinancing risk
Credit risk related to the company's ability to refinance and meet its debt obligations.
Mitigation methods
The financial risk here is limited by two distinct factors. First, as of June 30, QAIR International reported consolidated cash and cash equivalents exceeding €100 million, reflecting the group’s ability to generate and secure its cash flow. On the other hand, as part of this financing, Total Energies Invest has secured two distinct forms of collateral: a pledge of 100% of the issuing company’s securities and a GAPD from QAIR France, the French project subsidiary of QAIR International. Through the GAPD, QAIR France thereby undertakes to settle Total Energies Invest’s debt on behalf of the issuing company in the event that the latter encounters difficulties in meeting its obligations. The financial risk is further mitigated by the group’s strategy and Qair International’s commitment to QAIR France, which aims to establish its French subsidiary as a major IPP over the coming years.
Market risk
Risk related to being in a competitive market where new players enter the competition each year
Mitigation methods
QAIR is pursuing a clearly defined growth strategy centered on the commissioning of multiple projects and the diversification of its business over the coming years. With nearly 1.7 GW of projects in operation, nearly 2 GW of projects in development on secured land, and nearly 780 employees, the group is experiencing rapid growth. Despite a competitive sector, QAIR is now firmly established in the French renewable energy market, backed by a strong network and a significant presence throughout the country. Financially, the group reports annual revenue from electricity sales of over 200 million euros, supported by fixed assets exceeding 1.3 billion euros. These two figures alone reflect the group’s position in the French market.
