Finance the construction of a photovoltaic park in Allier
The Charroux project is a 14.3 MWp photovoltaic power plant under construction near the town of Charroux, in the Allier department (03). Winner of a call for tenders from the French Energy Regulatory Commission (CRE), the project is currently under construction and benefits from a 20-year guaranteed electricity sales tariff from the CRE.
A pioneer in the construction and operation of photovoltaic power plants, Urbasolar was founded in 2006 in Montpellier and now operates over 750 solar plants. As the French leader in responding to CRE tenders, the company aims to raise €1,140,300 through this fundraising in the form of simple bonds with a 6.75% interest rate over 4 years .

The project

Our analysis
Risk overview
Refinancing risk
Credit risk related to the company's ability to refinance and meet its debt obligations.
Mitigation methods
The repayment strategy relies on the project’s ability to generate sufficient cash flow. Since the sale of electricity is secured for the long term at a fixed rate for 20 years under the CRE’s tender process, this will facilitate the repayment. In the event of insufficient cash flow during the first few years, the project developer will refinance the project’s equity through the shareholder’s current account.
