Finance performance tools for wind turbines
The company Sereema is launching a third crowdfunding campaign ( campaign 1 and campaign 2 ) with Total Energies Invest to finance the development and commercialization of its Windfit® solution for wind farm operators.
Sereema aims to raise €350,000, with a potential increase to €450,000 in a single tranche. The funds raised will be used to finance the company and accelerate the development and deployment of its commercialized solutions.
The offer
Sereema is a French Deeptech company in the wind energy sector based in Montpellier. It has developed a technology for assessing operating wind farms through a manufacturer-independent measurement system. The company aims to invest in a key stage of its development to scale up its expertise through strategic partnerships.
OBJECTIVE
Sereema’s crowdfunding campaign aims to raise up to €450,000 in a single tranche .
USE OF FUNDS
The bond issuance is part of Sereema’s new financing cycle, totaling approximately €800,000. This will be complemented by bank financing and a €100,000 contribution from shareholders.
The funds will primarily be used for:
- Renewing the financial structure by refinancing the Total Energies Invest bond raised in 2021 (maturing in July 2026) and previous bank loans due in June and July 2026.
- Providing the necessary resources for the strategic plan: financing business development, establishing partnerships, investing in the production and industrialization of sensor boxes, and supporting R&D.
### REPAYMENT
The capital repayment of this bond issuance will be made gradually through constant annuities with a one-year grace period .
Additionally, Sereema aims, after accelerating the deployment of its solutions and resuming steady growth, to bring in a European industrial partner. This capital increase could provide an opportunity for early repayment by the issuer.
### CONVERTIBLE BOND
The Sereema 3 offering aims to issue 45,000 convertible bonds at €10 each . A convertible bond (OCA) is a financial instrument that can be converted into shares in Sereema.
The bond will offer an 8% gross annual return , with annual interest payments over 5 years.
The non-conversion premium is 1.5% of the face value per year , non-compounded, paid at the bond issuance maturity.

The project
The Windfit® Solution
Windfit® is a technological innovation that transforms the operation of wind farms. By acting as a digital coach embedded in the wind turbine, it enables the detection of necessary adjustments to increase annual production by up to 5% while also reducing turbine wear and better complying with acoustic constraints.
The core of this innovation lies in the processing of information transmitted by the “Box” installed in each wind turbine. It contains intelligent MEMS* sensors that monitor operations and continuously transmit data to our Cloud platform . At this stage, sophisticated algorithms automatically generate a series of diagnostics. Acceleration, position, pressure, rotation speed, temperature, etc.—a total of around ten parameters are continuously monitored on each equipped wind turbine.
*MEMS: Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems sensors
Why is Windfit® an asset in the wind energy market?
Focus on the market: operational wind farms
1. Market size
- In Europe, over 300 GW, or approximately 90,000 wind turbines in operation, representing the world’s second-largest wind market.
- Globally, 350,000 to 400,000 wind turbines. Sector growth in 2025: +165 GW (+15%).
2. Sector challenges
With the gradual phase-out of subsidies, marginal gains and the “capture price” of electricity become critical to the profitability of wind farms. It is therefore essential to optimize production, maintain installations at peak performance to maximize energy output during high-price periods.
3. Maturity of wind farms in Europe
The average age of wind farms is just over 9 years, nearing mid-life, which implies warranty expirations, aging management, and the need for diagnostics to enhance operational safety and/or extend asset lifespans.
4. Partnership dynamics
The service sector is consolidating through strategic acquisitions by giants such as Yokogawa, Macquarie, and DNV. Service companies (expertise, maintenance) need to digitalize and platformize their operations. The challenge is “Time-to-Digital”: acquiring or partnering with a ready-to-use solution rather than developing one in-house.
- The problem : standard data provided by machines is not precise enough to meet this need.
- The alternative : consulting experts , but their interventions are too costly for large-scale use (a single expert assessment can cost several thousand euros per wind turbine).
- Windfit® technology : delivers precise analysis at the best cost and with complete independence from turbine manufacturers.
In practice, users access diagnostics generated by Windfit® via intuitive dashboards on a web platform. They can instantly monitor the performance of their operations, identify underperforming turbines, and prioritize corrective actions. These may relate to rotor and blade misalignments, poor nacelle orientation, or other factors such as wind turbulence, turbine reaction speed, etc.
References
Today, Windfit® is already deployed across more than 130 MW in 11 different wind farms and has enabled the detection of output equivalent to the annual production of a 2 MW wind turbine.
“We were among the first to trust Sereema. Their technology is easy to use. It allows us to address production issues that were previously very difficult to detect. Some adjustments have delivered up to 6% gains and reduced machine wear. With Sereema, we have an effective partner to maximize the performance of operational wind farms.” — R. Chevallaz-Perrier, Operations Director, RES Group
“Thanks to its miniaturization and reasonable price, the Windfit® system offers real ease of installation and scalability, while embedding high-level intelligence. The result: a wealth of valuable real-time data that will help optimize the performance of each machine.” — P. Alexandre, Director of Expertise, Studies, and Innovation, Engie Green
“We use Sereema’s services on our wind farms in Greece. Thanks to their independent and precise information, they provide real added value in optimizing turbine output. We are satisfied with the service delivered and plan to expand our collaboration to other wind farms.” — Anne-Laure Messier, Senior Asset Manager, Total Eren
Environmental impact
- The diagnostics detected by Windfit in 2017 could have avoided the emission of 1,500 to 2,000 tons of CO₂ following the subsequent corrections.
- Windfit® reduces the environmental impact of wind turbines by improving their efficiency and ensuring compliance with acoustic limitation zones.
Sereema’s Ambition
International and European Partnerships
Strong acceleration of commercial development through partnership strategies (two pilots in preparation) and reinforcement of direct commercial action.
Need: Recruitment of a Commercial & Partnership profile.
Data Science
Massive influx of data scientists and specialized performance teams within energy producers. This marks a shift toward an open data ecosystem where value no longer lies in hoarding raw data but in the intelligence applied to its analysis.
Sereema is preparing Windfit IQ to meet the needs of these new users, who demand collaborative and interactive tools to develop their own indicators.
The goal is to become a reference platform through direct access to high-frequency data, analysis assisted by an expert wind turbine solution engine @DihyAI (currently in alpha testing), and more.
Data Sales
Commercialization of our proprietary data to weather service providers and for training models (wind turbines and weather).
A first sale was finalized in early 2026 . The commercial model and sales channels are currently being defined.
